bridesmaids robes in Doie Lounge

{ Photo: Rebecca Yale }

My wedding was up in Hudson NY in a big barn this past summer. Like many other brides, I had been searching for the perfect gift and really liked the idea of a robe—but many of them were poorly made. I reached out to Sara at Doie Lounge and she was fantastic to work with—helping me pick styles and spoke with me about the fabrics used. When the robes arrived I packaged them in gold boxes and put them on the bed of each recipient at the bed and breakfast we were staying at. My bridesmaids, mom, and mother in law were all so excited to receive them and kept complimenting the soft fabric quality.

We all felt so pampered and posh in our robes and it was so much fun to get ready wearing them. Obviously, at the actual wedding, everyone loves to comment on the dress, but I am so incredibly lucky because some of my most special moments happened before I even had my wedding dress on, and instead happened in my Doie Lounge robe! Getting ready with my mom, bridesmaids and friends, exchanging notes with my soon-to-be-husband, and reading his words to me—were all moments that happened in my robe. We even had some (looking back on it) funny moments happen while wearing them—like when my fiancé announced that he had lost his tux—and everyone was frantically running around in our robes looking for his outfit! Then my mom started screaming she found it—and the photographer perfectly captured that moment—tux and robe—together.

I know as my friends and family members start to get married I will be highly recommending these robes as gift ideas—or just gift ideas in general! They were a great find and spectacular quality!

I was fortunate to have amazing sisters to stand beside me on my wedding and knew the Doie Robes would be a perfect bridesmaid gift.  I picked a variety of colors that would fit their personalities and I chose my favorite color, blue, so I could continue to wear it after the wedding.  They were the perfect attire for the relaxing morning and everyone looked beautiful in the robes with lovely Maui in the background.  I was so excited to find these robes and working with Sara made it easy and stress free.

The wedding took place at The Resort at Pelican Hill on April 18, 2015. I treated my seven bridesmaids, mother and mother-in-law, as well as myself to these amazing robes! Everyone was absolutely thrilled to receive incredibly soft and beautiful robes to spend the morning getting ready in. While choosing which robes to purchase, as there are so many on the market now it is almost overwhelming, I looked for something I knew everyone would look forward to wearing even after the wedding. It was important to me that the robes became a sentiment in each of their lives not just on my special day, but for years to come! We all could not have been happier with the Doie Lounge robes and I think the pictures show just how happy and beautiful the robes helped everyone feel on such an important day!

Had To Have It

I had a small wedding party, just a maid and matron of honor, and I wanted to make them each a great “goodie bag”.  I am so thankful I came across Doie Lounge in my gift search.  I immediately loved the classy designs and beautiful colors (light aqua is my FAVORITE, so I just had to have it), and decided to immediately purchase a robe for each of my girls and myself.  I was glad to find something that wasn’t the “standard” monogrammed terry or waffle.  It was so nice to have something beautiful and comfortable to wear while we were lounging, drinking champagne, and getting ready on my wedding day.  My girls loved them and both commented that the design and weight was ideal and they were pumped to be taking them home.  Personally, I wear mine every day while getting ready.  Also, after seeing the great New Mom pics on the Doie website, I will be be sure to bring my beautiful robe with me to hospital room when we have babies!

Sara was great to work with and kept in touch throughout the whole process.  One of my ordered items was temporarily out of stock, and she immediately contacted me to see if I wanted to change items.  I had plenty of time before my wedding, so waiting was not an issue, but I definitely appreciated that she checked in.  While the tag suggests dry cleaning, I have had success machine washing and lying flat to dry, which makes it very convenient.

Great Start

Craig and I were married on October 5, 2013 in Tampa Florida and I was thrilled to have my sister and 2 of my closest friends taking part in my wedding day. I really wanted to give my girls gifts that were beautiful and not something they would ordinarily buy for themselves, but also functional, both on the wedding day and everyday. I settled on luxurious spa robes. The dilemma I had was since the wedding was in Florida, it may still be pretty warm. I found the Doie robes on one of the various emails I received from wedding sites and was struck by how beautiful but how light they are. The girls loved them! The colors even matched our wedding day. I also treated my mom to a robe and got her’s just a little different to make her stand out. We all felt so pretty during hair and makeup appointments and made the whole day get off to a great start. Added bonus, my new husband loved how it look in mine!

“We all got ready at the Ritz in downtown Philly, it was really fun to be with all my favorite ladies for my last morning as a single girl (and no one else could have kept me calm like they did). The wedding was so great and the girls and moms all loved their robes!”

“I was married on October 27, 2012 in picturesque St. Helena, California.  Getting ready for the biggest event of my life was surreal–in the best way, of course.  It was a crisp, sunny fall day.  The kind you really only get in Northern California.  I preened and primped in my family’s home nestled in the vineyards just feet from where my now husband got down on bended knee and asked for my hand the December before….I was surrounded by my two very favorite girlfriends.  One a college roommate; the other a fabulous friend who also happens to be Sara’s cousin (it was in fact Sara who had the brilliant idea of connecting us when life’s twists and turns had us both living in DC after college).  I could not imagine a more magical morning shared with more beautiful women on a more momentous day.  Being robed in Doie was by far the most special touch.  We were all so incredibly comfortable and felt so pretty.  I am forever grateful to Sara and Doie for making my pre-wedding “getting ready” hours even more amazing.  And we’ve been enjoying our robes every day since then.  Mine brings back the most wonderful memories and will for years to come!”

A Cozy Classic

“I was married on September 22, 2012 in Long Island, NY, the first official day of fall and I knew it would be starting to get a little cooler so I wanted to find something simple, classic and cozy to find for my bridesmaids to wear while we were getting ready and relaxing. I came across these robes on the Style Me Pretty blog last year and they were the first wedding related purchase I made! The robes were backordered but when I emailed Sara, she responded immediately and informed me of the date the robes would be shipped and they showed up right on time…they matched my color scheme and looked great on everyone. I was hoping that the girls would be able to wear them in their everyday life and was so happy when I saw the robe on my maid of honors bathroom door when I visited her new apartment! They are the perfect gift!”
